Basic knowledge of hydraulic transmission

Hydraulic transmission is a kind of fluid transmission, the basic principle is that in the closed container, the use of the pressure of the oil as a working medium to achieve energy conversion and transmission of power. The fluid of the working medium is usually mineral oil, as the power source of the transmission, and its function is like the belt, chain and gear in the mechanical drive.

Hydraulic system is mainly composed of five parts of hydraulic components, including: power components (oil pump), execution components (cylinder or hydraulic motor), control components (valves), auxiliary components and working medium, etc..

First, the advantages of hydraulic transmission

1., small size, light weight, so the inertia force is small, even if there is a sudden overload or parking, will not have too much impact;

2. can automatically adjust the traction speed within a given range, and can realize stepless speed regulation;

The 3. commutation is easy, and the rotation of the working mechanism and the conversion of the linear reciprocating motion can be easily realized without changing the rotation direction of the motor;

4. the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor are connected by tubing, and they are not strictly restricted in space arrangement;

5. because the oil is used as the working medium, the components can lubricate between the relative moving surfaces, wear little and have long service life;

6., easy to operate and control, high degree of automation;

7. easy to achieve overload protection.

Two, the shortcomings of hydraulic transmission

1. the use of hydraulic transmission of high maintenance requirements, work oil should always be kept clean;

2., the hydraulic components manufacturing accuracy requirements, complex process, high cost;

3. hydraulic components maintenance is more complex, and need to have a high level of technology;

4. oil used as working medium, there is fire hazard in working face;

5. low transmission efficiency.
