Caterpillar takes the lead in environmental protection and emission reduction of organic gas

Since the end of 2014, Caterpillar Suzhou plant has reduced the emission of volatile organic compounds by comparing and evaluating the technical solutions of several suppliers. Finally, a combination of activated carbon adsorption and regeneration catalytic combustion is adopted. This technology can effectively deal with low concentration benzene gas in liquid spray paint line.
The installation of the equipment started in April 2015 and was accepted by the local environmental protection bureau at the end of July. After three months of testing, the end of October 2015, the environmental protection department of volatile organic gases on the Caterpillar factory in Suzhou, the effect of the supervision and final acceptance, and issued a final report in December 3rd.
According to the report, volatile organic gas emissions of non methane total hydrocarbon concentration and single emission values have decreased by more than 85%, far below the requirements of EIA approval.
