公路铁路两用车是一种既能公路行走又能轨道运行的专用特种车辆。可用于轨道牵引、调车作业，也可在新线建设和后期维保时作为轨道工程机械使用，是一种适用于公路和铁路的跨界产品。其机动灵活是公铁车与传统轨道工程机械相比的最大优势，全寿命周期成本远低于传统轨道车辆，更适应现代化节能环保的主题。
二十多年来，随着国家轨道交通事业的蓬勃发展和城市轨道交通的快速发展，公司公铁车产品的型谱化、系列化、模块化建设工作取得长足进步，尤其是近两年，各型工程用、牵引用公铁车的研发设计及投入使用，进一步奠定了公司行业内技术领先地位。
据悉，该公司从1991年开始开发研制铁路公路两用车、铁道运输机械等系列产品。1994年，研制出第一台公铁车。
此次研发的相关负责人表示，本次发布的三款最新产品分别是ICON-10高空作业公路铁路两用车、公路铁路两用清扫车、公路铁路两用放线车。其中，ICON-10高空作业公路铁路两用车最为引人关注，它主要用于铁路电气化线路接触网检修、维护，信号安装等高空作业场合。
