Engineering machinery of AC and DC charging system common fault are the following.
(1) no charge. The speed in the engine rpm, ammeter indication discharging or charging indicator light.

(3) the charging current is unstable. The engine idling ammeter pointer swing or charging indicator light and extinguish.
(4) the charging current is too large.
(5) the generator has abnormal sound.
The cause of charging failure is generally:
(1) the charging line is faulty. If the wire breaks or falls off, the insertion interface is bad contact and the connection error, etc., all may cause the system not to charge or the insufficient charge.
(2) the tape of generator is loose. The generator may cause the tape too loose or insufficient charging system charging charging current is too large.
(3) the battery is out of order. Battery internal short circuit may cause large charging current.
(4) the regulator is out of order. The electronic components inside the regulator are close to open circuit or short circuit, which will cause the regulating voltage to be too high, too low or unstable, which will lead to too large, too small or unstable of the generator.
(5) faults in the generator itself. If the individual diode circuit breaker, carbon brush and rectifier ring contact is bad, the rectifier ring has oil, the excitation winding partial short circuit, stator winding partial short circuit or one phase open circuit, will cause the generator to generate electricity insufficient. If the rectifier diode damage, the carbon brush and the rectifying ring do not contact the generator without excitation current, the excitation winding or the stator winding open circuit or short circuit, and suppress interference with capacitor short circuit, will cause the generator to power. If the spring pressure of the carbon brush inside the generator is insufficient, the contact of the carbon brush is bad, or the excitation winding and the stator winding are going to open or short-circuit, the voltage instability of the generator will result.
In addition, in general, if the generator does not adjust the clearance, improper installation, generator bearing damage, the rotor and the stator are sweeping collision phenomenon, the stator winding ground or interlaminar short circuit, short circuit, rectifier diode, it will lead to abnormal noise generator.
