How to maintain the small road milling machine       

Customers in the purchase of the milling machine, the continued use of the process will inevitably be consumed and abrasion, prolong the service life of the machine, the correct operation and proper maintenance is a must, here I will share some maintenance experience of milling machine with you.

First, we must read the operation manual carefully, and the machine must be operated by professionals;

(two) the main part of the machine by the cutter, bearing, gasket, milling drum, and pavement friction due to long time operation, consumption is the fastest in this part, the regular replacement, check in order to extend the service life of the machine;

(three) the milling cutter shaft should be inspected every day. If the groove is over 25% of the diameter of the cutter shaft, it should be replaced. Generally speaking, the life of cutter shaft is half life of tungsten steel milling cutter. From the square area, its life is, milling depth of 5mm, about 350-500 square meters. But please be aware that many factors affect the life of the tool shaft, so daily inspection is required;

(four) for the sake of safety, the engine spark plug should be pulled out before maintenance, preferably by the qualified mechanic;

(five) check the oil level before use, and clean the air filter after use;

(six) grease should be added to the bearing after 4 hours of use. When lubricating grease is used, the milling drum is rotated at the same time, and the grease is coated in the whole bearing;

(seven) carefully inspect the machine before each use: whether all fasteners are tightened, whether there is obvious wear or tear of parts, whether the oil supply circuit is intact, check the bearing, check whether the protective cover is covered or not;

(eight) check the tightness of belt before use. The new belt in 4 operation hours should re adjust the degree of tightness must maintain proper belt tightness, to transfer the engine output horsepower to the cutter drum, when a tight belt will be easy to wear, but also shorten the service life of the bearings, such as broken marks, severe wear belts should be immediately replaced;

(nine) milling cutter cracking is very rare. If it happens, it usually shows the following situation:

1: milling cutter arranged irregularly on milling drum;

2: single milling too deep;

3: use different milling cutters to remove different types of road surface;

4: milling surface strength is too large;

(ten) check the milling cutter shaft and bearing every time the milling cutters are changed. If there is wear grooves on the shaft, it is necessary to replace the new ones, and the bearings should be changed at the same time;

(eleven) if the drum is properly maintained, it can be used for 3 months. In the replacement of milling cutters or maintenance, check whether the central axis of milling drum cracks, shaft sleeve hole into oval, weld seam cracks, if found any damage, must replace the new drum;

(twelve) reminded to check at the bottom of the milling drum milling machine, machine must be forward overturned, not toward the tip, otherwise the oil will flow backward into the engine cylinder.
