Hydraulic oil is one of the most widely used fluids in industry. According to the international standardization organization ISO 6743/4-1982 "lubricants, industrial lubricants and related products classification (fourth part) H group hydraulic system", according to the different applications are divided into: hydrostatic pressure system hydraulic oil, hydraulic guide oil, fire-resistant hydraulic oil and fluid hydraulic system four categories. In 1999, ISO released the ISO 6743-4:1999 (E) classification, adding a new class of environmental acceptable hydraulic oils. GB 7531.2-87 hydraulic oil classification standard was issued in 1987, and the ISO6743/4-1982 classification method was used. Table 1 lists the classification, codes and quality standards of ISO and China's hydraulic oil.

According to statistics, the fault of hydraulic system is mostly due to improper selection and use of hydraulic oil caused, therefore, the correct selection and reasonable use of hydraulic oil, hydraulic reliability of equipment operation, prolong the service life of the components and system, ensure the safety of equipment, to prevent the occurrence of great significance.
