In 2007, Kohler Co bought Ron Badini, a 85 year old engine manufacturing company headquartered in Italy. Through the acquisition of Ron Badini, Kohler provides gasoline and diesel engines worldwide to meet the needs of commercial and consumer customers.

In 2007, Kohler (China) Investment Co., Ltd. wholly owned Chongqing Kohler engine company was founded. As a large manufacturer of general motors, the company is committed to providing high quality engine products for small gasoline engines worldwide.

In 2008, the Kohler engine announced that it will expand its product range, covering 4 to 65 horsepower gasoline and diesel engine. In order to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions, all Command PRO and Aegis dual cylinder engines will be equipped with electronic fuel injection (EFI) system.

In 2012, Kohler after several years of research, launched KDI series diesel engine, KDI diesel engine with its incomparable advantages, in 2012 2015 won two consecutive Awards Best diesel engine is widely recognized in the industry.
