Rolling method for transverse joint of paver Road
When paving asphalt mixture pavement with paver, it is impossible to complete the laying of the long road at one time, so it needs sectional paving. Each paving a section, at the end of the need to place a block with the same thickness of the laminate, to prevent the edge of the mixture when rolling collapse phenomenon. When the paving is done, the board is removed and placed at the new end, so that a regular transverse seam is formed at the junction of the old and new mixture.
The rolling of the transverse joint should be carried out immediately after the new material has just been paved, so that the old and new materials can be joined tightly and the cracks can be eliminated better when the temperature is higher. Transverse joints at the beginning of RCC is best to use a smooth wheel roller, if the use of vibroll should disconnect the vibration mechanism, the roller bearing most of the weight in the old material, a small part of the weight in the new material (only 10~20cm wheel width), 2~3 rolling times, gradually shifting to new material; going in fully into the new material, through vibration mechanism of vibration compaction. After rolling, the roller must not turn on the joint so as not to damage the road surface; it can be lapped on the side of the road and flush with the road floor, so that the roller is removed from the paving layer.
