Hydraulic pump is an important device of mechanical equipment in the power, in the choice of time can be judged by several aspects:

1, power and density

Many people know that the power density depends mainly on the type of hydraulic pump and the material used. In the ordinary hydraulic pump, the blade pump power density is minimum, about 2N/kW, plunger pump is 3~6N/kW, and most gear pumps in the range of 5~7N/kW.

The hydraulic pump is compact and has a smaller gravitational power ratio than the conventional energy conversion device. This ratio is called power density. Especially in the aviation and industrial field of hydraulic pumps, power density is an important measure of indicators.

2, pressure, flow and efficiency

Pressure, flow rate and efficiency are the basic parameters of selecting hydraulic pump. Generally speaking, what kind of pumps can be used in low pressure conditions?. The piston pump should be chosen in the high pressure condition, and the gear pump should be used more in the medium pressure condition. The vane pump and screw pump are applied more economically under low pressure.

The maximum rated power of the hydraulic pump depends on the leakage caused by the gland between the pressure, the flow rate, the speed, the structure and the fitting clearance. The total efficiency of hydraulic pump depends on mechanical loss, friction loss and volume loss. In general, the total efficiency of the plunger pump is higher than the pump and vane pump.

The efficiency of the general hydraulic pump is affected by the following factors: size, geometric clearance and the matching accuracy of the parts in the hydraulic pump; the viscosity and performance of the oil, such as lubrication and working temperature on the viscosity; working pressure and speed. In order to obtain a higher volumetric efficiency of hydraulic pump, we must understand the limits between the internal parts of the hydraulic pump. The limit clearance of several hydraulic pumps is shown in table 3-1.

3. Noise and life

The noise value produced by hydraulic pump varies greatly with the type of pump, the matching of material and parts of pump parts, the installation and use of vibration elimination method, the stiffness of pump, the flow, pressure, speed, pressure pulsation and other elements connected in the loop. It has been proved by experience that the noise of external gear pump and piston pump is the largest, while the screw pump is the smallest, and the noise between vane pump and internal gear pump is between them.

The noise level of hydraulic pump over 90dB (A) is very large, and the 60dB (A) is quieter. The displacement, pressure and rotational speed are the same, but different types of hydraulic pumps work under the same working conditions, and their noise values are different. The intensity of noise produced by hydraulic pump increases with the increase of rotating speed, and increases with the increase of pressure or displacement.
