Transformer fault performance and protection device settings
Transformer abnormal operating state is mainly realized as:
1. over load;
2. transformer overvoltage caused by neutral point voltage rise or external voltage is too high or lower frequency;
3. current caused by external short circuit;
4. fuel tank leakage caused by oil surface reduction.
Transformer should be installed with protective devices:
1. the differential protection or quick current break protection of single phase to ground short circuit of winding and lead out line of transformer winding and lead line interphase short circuit and neutral point direct grounding system;
2. zero sequence current protection for transformer external and internal grounding short circuit in neutral point direct grounding system;
3. reflect transformer over excitation protection;
4. gas protection that reflects internal fault and oil surface reduction of transformer oil tank;
5. reflect the external phase short circuit of transformer and protect the gas protection box differential protection (or current fast break protection) over current protection (or compound voltage starting over current protection or negative sequence overcurrent protection);
6. overload protection of transformer symmetrical overload.
