Last August, the Ministry of transportation formally approved the implementation plan for the creation of green transportation province in Shandong (hereinafter referred to as "the implementation plan").

The implementation plan is based on the current situation of green transportation development in Shandong province. Based on the goal of creating a green transportation Province, according to the guidelines of "strengthening strengths, complemented short boards, improving systems and highlighting characteristics", we have made clear the key areas of building green transportation system.

According to the "implementation plan", Shandong province will implement the "vehicle, ship, road, port enterprises" energy-saving emission reduction special action and the enterprise low-carbon energy action on promoting green traffic to create city, green road, green technology demonstration, and constantly improve the transport efficiency of energy use, energy optimization the structure, improve travel mode, explore the road transportation development practice of low energy consumption and low pollution, low emission, high efficiency.

It is reported that the construction of Shandong green traffic province needs to complete 10 categories and 21 projects, involving 6 fields, including infrastructure, transportation equipment, informatization and management capabilities, with a total investment of 73 billion 20 million yuan.

Create to promote green transportation in Shandong Province, the Provincial Department of transportation and the Shandong Provincial Department of Finance issued a consultation with the "Shandong Provincial Department of transportation issued in 2015 on the national energy-saving emission reduction project grant funds list notice", the funds will be decomposed into the project unit, and asked all units to strengthen project management, to ensure earmarking, improve the efficiency in the use of funds.

In addition to the establishment of a pilot project as a province of green transportation, Shandong is also a pilot province for the application of LNG vehicles nationwide.

Since 12th Five-Year, Shandong Province, with the focus of natural gas vehicles, has vigorously promoted the application of clean energy and new energy transportation tools in the field of transportation and transportation. At present, the new energy and clean energy operating vehicles in Shandong have reached 116 thousand vehicles, accounting for about 10% of the total number of vehicles.
