31 send a thousand love lights to Yunnan mountain area on Volunteer Day
December 5th is the thirty-first international volunteer day. The 31 group and the 31 foundation, together with the peace star disaster prevention and education center, went to the remote Yunnan County of Ludian Province, sending nearly 1000 love lamps to four mountain primary schools.
Ludian County, Yunnan Province, is located in the northeast of Yunnan province. Its landform is complex, the climate is warm and humid, and it has rich forest resources and water power resources. In 2014, an earthquake of magnitude 6.5 caused severe pain in Ludian. The volunteers after the earthquake epicenter, found that many children must go to school early in the morning, about 3 hours of the mountain in the dark night, through a ruin, rush to school. Due to limited conditions, the children only the dark or lighter lighting, extremely dangerous journey.
31 nearly 1000 lamps were brought by the 31 group and the 31 foundation. The "dark challenge" public welfare experience was raised in three days. Yunnan Ludian area dragon bay primary school, primary school, primary school, new cross mountain rock head village primary school four schools will accept donations of nearly a thousand lamps, students will therefore light the road to go to school.
Participate in the tour of Yunnan volunteers introduced by Ludian County into four primary school where the mountain road is very dangerous, landslides occur, some road only 2 meters in width, and close to the mountain cliff. In December 5th, 31 volunteers went into the mountain successfully at risk. They came to Long Wan Primary School and cross mountain primary school to carry out safety knowledge teaching for students and to supply solar lamps.
Although the children's learning environment is hard, but still sunny, cheerful and vigorous. In the safety knowledge class, the students studied safety knowledge carefully, and studied protective actions according to the volunteers' demonstration. After the safety class, the children got a new customized solar energy saving lamp, revealing a bright smile.
In order to better understand the difficulties of students on the way to school, the volunteer team in the journey to do with the students to go to school arrangements. This morning at 4:50, the volunteers and the students got dark "go to school", found the children wearing thin clothes in the steep mountain road difficult, in order to get rid of fear or resistance to cold, the children in the mountains along the shout, call students to go to school together. The volunteers said it was not easy for the children to go to school, but also strengthened the vision of raising lamps for more children.
It is reported that the 31 foundation, a primary school Xinlin in the next two days will continue to journey more perilous rock head village primary school to visit the school and issued lamps. In addition to the 31 foundation, the 31 group, the peace star staff, there are three volunteers who volunteer to pay for the trip. They not only participated in the visit to the school and the lighting work, but also understood the local education in detail, aiming to provide more educational resources for the area.
On the special day of International Volunteer Day in December 5th, volunteers from the 31 group, the 31 foundation and the colleagues explained the volunteer spirit with actions, and brought the hope for the children in the mountains. The education conditions in the mountains are hard, but the children's perseverance in learning spirit deserves more volunteers to join in, helping the children to go to school!
