China and Russia decide to sign the world's largest thermal power station construction agreement
According to Itar Tass news, the Russian energy ministry said on Monday that Russia and China will sign the Erkovetskaya coal-fired power station construction contract, the Sino Russian cooperation will enter a new stage.
Prior to that, China National Grid has carried out an evaluation of a joint project with Inter RAO of Russian electric power company. The coal used in the power plant will come from the sedimentary coal of Erkovetskaya in the Russian Far East Amur area. The total cost of the project reached $15 billion.
Russia's Ministry of energy said that the Russian government is willing to provide corresponding support and assistance to China National Power Grid Corp and Russia electric power company Inter RAO, so as to promote joint construction of Erkovetskaya thermal power stations. At present, the two parties are in the discussion stage of cooperation and construction.
It is understood that the Erkovetskaya power station will be built in Russia's largest coal-fired power stations, power generation will reach 8000 trillion megawatts, more than the world's largest thermal power station power station second Surgut (5600 trillion watts) and Taiwan's Taichung power station (5500 trillion watts). The thermal power station is equivalent to all the total heat and power (9000 trillion watts) in the Far East. The annual average will reach 300-500 billion kwh per hour.
