China Construction machinery enterprises gather "African BMW Exhibition"
Africa's largest exhibition of engineering, building materials, machinery and vehicle equipment -- BAUMA AFRICA will open in Johannesburg, South Africa in September 15, 2015. China's engineering machinery industry giants gathered at the exhibition scene, showing the confidence and determination of Chinese enterprises to expand the African market.
The Expo attracted more than 620 global engineering machinery, building materials machinery, construction vehicles and equipment manufacturers, including China more than 1/5 enterprises, Xuzhou construction machinery group, including industry leader (XCMG), Sany and Guangxi Liugong group etc..
As ranked fifth in the global construction machinery industry, Xugong Group, the first domestic industry in China, has invested 32 large equipment for exhibition, which is two times the number of last exhibitors.
Xugong Group has a history of more than 30 years in the African market, according to Liu Quan, deputy general manager of Xugong Group Import and Export Co., Ltd.. Compared with other domestic enterprises, it has the highest share in the African construction machinery industry. In 2014, the sales of Xugong Group in Africa exceeded $300 million, and sales in southern Africa reached $25 million this year. In order to provide good after-sales service, the company has also set up more than 20 spare parts service centers and 6 personnel training centers in Africa.
It is understood that in the case of the overall decline in the international engineering machinery industry, Africa is still regarded as a potential market. Take the South African market as an example, although the local currency Rand has fallen sharply, the market share and brand influence are still the competitive direction of many manufacturers.
The "BMW Exhibition" sponsored by Munich International Expo Group, Germany, is the most influential industry exhibition in the global construction machinery industry. The first BMW exhibition in Africa was held in South Africa in 2013.
