How to set the Vogele paver thickness?      

Since the paving process is affected by many factors, up to now, an accurate formula has not been found to set the elevation cylinder position of the ironing plate according to the expected thickness. When using a retractable screed, it generally follows: the thickness of the width of the centimeter (+ 50 to 100%) is the paving thickness laid by the paver. This should be set before paving a few meters to proofread.

S= expected paving thickness

Compaction depth of W= roller

The screed only provides pre compaction, and the final compactness shall be compacted by the compactor. The compaction depth (W) of the roller is the difference between the paving thickness (H) and the expected paving thickness (S), which should be considered when the screed is set.

Since the screed is in suspension mode, only a period of paving is required to achieve the desired paving thickness, so we advise the customer to leave the screed on the mat or evenly spread material.

The paving elevation is set as paving thickness H+ (50 to 100%), which can be set by the scale on the elevation cylinder. And it should be proofread promptly when paving.

After the compactor is compacted, the expected paving thickness must be checked. If it is not in accordance with the expected value, it should be proofread in time to reach the expected paving thickness.
