Several fuel saving measures of Wheeled Construction Machinery      

 

The fuel consumption of Wheeled Construction machinery is a major item in construction cost. Therefore, we should be based on the construction area of the region than the freezing point temperature with minimum temperature of 3-5 DEG C lower fuel. The fuel saving measures should be taken as follows for the construction of transport vehicles and engines:

(1) minimize the weight of the vehicle. Increasing the weight of the vehicle will increase fuel consumption correspondingly. Therefore, the unnecessary additional equipment on the vehicle should be removed without affecting the quality of the project.

(2) as much as possible to reduce the resistance and acceleration of the vehicle resistance, resistance is much more fuel consumption.

When the speed is below 400km/h, the air resistance can be neglected, but the rolling resistance should be paid attention to. When the vehicle is traveling on an uneven surface, often because of the beating caused by deformation of suspension and tire rolling resistance increased, resulting in increased, compared with driving in good road conditions, fuel consumption increased by 30%-50%, therefore, must be repaired, keep a good road. At the same time, the tire pressure has great influence on the rolling resistance. If the lower tire pressure on hard surfaces, then the tire deformation, rolling resistance increased; if reduce the tire pressure on the soft ground, then the contact area of the tire and the ground is increased, the pressure drop per unit area, will make the rolling resistance decrease. Therefore, the construction should pay attention to changes in road conditions, choose the right tire pressure to reduce fuel consumption. The transmission ratio of the vehicle transmission has a great influence on the fuel consumption, and the high speed gear should be selected as small as possible in the construction, so that the fuel can be saved.

(3) increasing the compression ratio to the standard value of the engine. The compression ratio of diesel engine is usually between 16-22. The compression ratio is increased, the temperature and pressure at the end of compression are increased, which is beneficial to the combustion and expansion of the mixed gas, and the thermal efficiency of the engine is increased, the effective power is increased, and the fuel consumption is reduced. Specific measures are: to reduce the resistance of intake system. The filter should be cleaned and maintained in time so as to ensure enough air to enter the cylinder in time. Keep the vehicle in good condition. For the engine cylinder pressure, the general diesel engine should not be less than the original standard pressure of 20%, gasoline engine is not less than 30%. For the pressure difference between the cylinders, the general requirements of the diesel engine is not more than 8%, the gasoline engine is not more than 10%. If the cylinder pressure is not up to the required standard, the valve should be ground and the piston ring should be replaced. You should also note that the coke combustion tendency of indoor will automatically increase the ratio of compression, high compression ratio and easy to produce coke cylinder explosion caused by the increase in fuel consumption, therefore, it is necessary to remove coke; in addition, the clearance of the intake and exhaust valves must be transferred to the specified value, because the gap is too large, too small will cause the increase of fuel consumption.

(4) the fuel supply advance angle of the engine is corrected. If the fuel supply advance angle is too large or too long, the fuel consumption of the engine will increase. Therefore, in order to make the engine have good performance, the fuel supply advance angle must be calibrated.

(5) reduce fuel consumption per unit load. Under the condition that the vehicle condition permits, the load of the vehicle is increased to the rated load, the productivity can be increased, and the oil consumption per unit weight can be decreased significantly.

(6) grasp the economic speed. In the construction, the roads are usually informal roads, namely the sidewalk. In this case, the correct relationship between safety, fuel consumption and speed should be mastered. The Tatra T815 car half load as an example, the relationship between fuel consumption and speed is the speed of 25-30km/h, the minimum fuel consumption, which is in the process of construction, the speed to ensure the production efficiency and achieve economic and reasonable.

(7) correct selection of lubricating oil. Selecting lubricating oil is the key factor for engine to reduce power consumption and reduce fuel consumption. Different specifications and grades of lubricants should be used in winter and summer.
