Reducer is a power transmission mechanism, which reduces the turning number of motor (motor) to the desired turning number by using the speed converter of gear, and obtains a larger torque. In the mechanism used to transfer power and motion, the reducer has a wide range of applications. Its traces can be seen in almost all kinds of mechanical transmission systems, from ships, automobiles, locomotives, heavy machinery for construction, processing machines and automatic production equipment used in machinery industry, to household appliances, clocks and watches commonly used in daily life, etc. Its application can be seen from the transmission of large power to the transmission of small load and accurate angle. In industrial application, the reducer has the function of decelerating and increasing torque. Therefore, it is widely used in speed and torque conversion equipment.
1. Increase the output torque while reducing the speed. The ratio of output torque is multiplied and decelerated according to the motor output, but attention should be paid not to exceed the rated torque of the reducer.
2. Deceleration reduces the inertia of load at the same time, and the inertia decreases to the square of deceleration ratio.
Working principle
Reducer is generally used in transmission equipment with low speed and large torque. The power of motor, internal combustion engine or other high-speed operation is reduced by meshing the big gears on the output shaft with fewer teeth on the input shaft of the reducer. Ordinary reducer also has several pairs of gears with the same principle to achieve the ideal deceleration effect. The ratio of the number of teeth of big and small gears is the transmission ratio.
